The Practice
Modern Counseling of Palm Beach Florida was founded by Gail Amalfitano LMHC, CCTP-I, NCC, to provide affordable counseling options to individuals. Counseling is the one relationship in an individual's life that is devoted completed to the well-being of that individual. Gail Amalfitano founded Modern Counseling to bring access to counseling to those that cannot find the time for office visits or wanted an opportunity for easier access to therapists. Therapy is a gift, an opportunity to have a therapist completely interested in your needs and dedicated to helping you find solutions and options for a more fulfilling life. Gail Amalfitano wanted to bring a laid-back, easy-going, down-to-earth, non-judgmental approach to psychotherapy in which the individual can feel safe, comfortable, and at ease speaking with a therapist about any issue, needs, or concerns with the goal of finding answers, options, and solutions.
Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders as well as substance issues, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples. This is a safe, non-judgmental zone where you can just be you and have the one relationship in your life that is totally devoted to your well-being and needs.

Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, attention to your individual needs, and customizing a treatment plan.
Our Patient Promise
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Your therapist will be there for you and will be your biggest advocate. This is a no-judgement zone!
Qualified Supervisor for MHC
Registered Interns can seek clinical supervision via telehealth (at this time) from our approved Qualified Supervisor for MHC. Feel free to contact for specific information and potential scheduling options during business hours.
Our Therapy
Depression & Anxiety
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Confusion, Loneliness, or Direction

Trauma & PTSD
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, resentments, confusion, intrusive automatic thoughts or memories, self-doubt, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger from traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Conflict and Codependency
Learning to work through conflict requires skills and confidence. Codependency robs an individual of their own separate identity and can be quite draining. This leaves an individual feeling without a voice and mentally drained from repeated behaviors that lead to feeling overwhelmed. We can help you learn the skills needed to define your self with confidence. We can guide you through the whole process! You are not alone!
Relationships
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to individuals or couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
